The MNS low voltage switchgear, produced by leading suppliers in China, is an innovative combination-type switchgear designed with modular components. This versatile equipment is ideal for a wide range of applications, including power plants, substations, petrochemical industries, metallurgy, steel rolling, light textile industries, as well as residential areas and high-rise buildings. The MNS switchgear efficiently manages power distribution systems operating at an AC frequency of 50–60 Hz and a rated voltage of up to 660 V. It serves critical functions in the conversion, distribution, and control of electrical energy in low-voltage systems, including power distribution, motor control centers, and capacitor compensation. Sourced directly from reliable manufacturers in China, our MNS switchgear meets the highest quality standards for safety and performance.

    Advantages

The electrical structure of the MNS switchgear is designed with a modular concept, and the switchgear frame structure offers high flexibility. Various electrical components can be installed inside the switchgear to meet different application requirements and to achieve the corresponding protection levels for different working environments. It can be selected as a new type of low-voltage switchgear by users.
Compared with traditional products, the MNS cabinet has the following advantages:
Standardized and modular design for the entire series.
The switchgear can be designed with different protection levels according to the working and environmental requirements.
Different types of functional components can be freely installed in the same switchgear, such as fixed components and withdrawable components.
Compact structure that saves space inside the switchgear.
The distribution circuit layout is economical and the installation density is high.
The switchgear can be arranged back-to-back.
Equipment updates and improvements are convenient.
The equipment has high reliability and continuity in operation.
Fully guarantee the personal safety of operators.

    Service conditions

    a. Installation position
MNS switchgear is a complete electrical equipment installed indoors. When the protection level reaches IP54, it can operate under other working conditions.
    b. Ambient temperature and relative humidity
The upper limit of ambient temperature is 40 ℃, and the average temperature within 24 hours shall not higher than 35 ℃; The lower limit of ambient temperature is -5 ℃. When the equipment is used under conditions higher than the above ambient temperature, it should be operated at reduced capacity.
The air is clean, and the relative humidity should not exceed 50% at 40 ℃. Higher relative humidity is allowed at lower temperatures (e.g. 90% at 20 ℃). In cases where condensation may occur, ventilation or heating measures can be used in the switchgear to prevent condensation.
    c. Altitude
The altitude of the location where the switchgear is used shall not exceed 2000m. If the switchgear is installed in an area above an altitude of 2000m, the equipment should be correspondingly reduced in capacity for operation.

    Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What are the main design advantages of MNS switchgear?
MNS switchgear features a standardized and modular design that offers high flexibility, space-saving compact structures, and high installation density. It allows both fixed and withdrawable functional components to be installed in the same cabinet, simplifies updates, and ensures high reliability and operator safety.
Which standards does the MNS switchgear comply with?
It complies with major electrical standards including IEC61439-2 ("Low voltage switchgear and control equipment"), GBIT7251.12 ("Low Voltage Switchgear and Control Equipment"), and GBIT24274 ("Low voltage withdrawable switchgear and control equipment").
What are the ambient temperature limits for operating MNS switchgear?
The ambient temperature range is between -5 ℃ and 40 ℃. The average temperature over a 24-hour period should not exceed 35 ℃. If the temperature exceeds these limits, the equipment must be operated at a reduced capacity.
Can the MNS switchgear be installed above 2000 meters altitude?
The standard operating altitude limit is 2000 meters. If installed in locations higher than 2000 meters, the capacity of the switchgear must be correspondingly reduced for safe operation.
What protection levels are available for MNS switchgear?
Depending on the configuration and environment, MNS switchgear offers protection levels of IP30, IP40, IP42, and IP54. When configured to IP54, it can operate under outdoor-equivalent or demanding indoor conditions.
What is the maximum rated current for the main busbar?
The rated current for the main busbar can reach up to 6300A, with a rated peak withstand current (lpk) of up to 220kA and a rated short-time withstand current (lcw) of up to 100kA.
