    Frequently Asked Questions

What are the primary applications of the TANW1 series circuit breaker?

It is designed for AC 50/60Hz distribution networks with rated voltages of 400V or 690V and rated currents from 630A to 6300A. It protects circuits and power equipment against overload, under-voltage, short circuit, and single-phase grounding faults.

Which industry standards does the TANW1 circuit breaker comply with?

The TANW1 series circuit breaker complies with international standards such as IEC60947-2 and national standards like GB14048.2 for low-voltage switchgear and control equipment.

What are the installation and operational classifications of these breakers?

They are classified by installation method into Fixed type and Withdrawable type, and by operation method into Electric operation and Manual operation (used mainly for maintenance and repair).

What are the standard ambient conditions required for standard installation?

The ambient temperature must remain between -5 ℃ and +40 ℃ (with a 24-hour average not exceeding +35 ℃), installation altitude should not exceed 2000m, and the vertical inclination of the breaker must not exceed 5°.

How does operating at altitudes above 2000m affect the electrical performance?

As altitude increases, correction factors must be applied. For example, at an altitude of 5000m, the power-frequency withstand voltage is corrected to 2000V, the working current coefficient adjusts to 0.82, and the short-circuit breaking capacity factor adjusts to 0.63.

What is the mechanical and electrical lifespan (operating cycles) of the TANW1 series?

The total number of operating cycles depends on the shell level: 5000 cycles for the 2000A shell, 3000 cycles for the 3200A and 4000A shells, and 2000 cycles for the 6300A shell.
