General GCS type LV draw-out type switchgear (hereinafter called device). It is designed by the design team from ministry of electric power industry and ministry of mechanical power industry according to the requirements of department of industry, customer and design organization. With high technical performance, it is suitable for the need of developing power market. In July, 1996, this device has passed the identification of ministry of electric power industry and ministry of mechanical power industry in Shanghai, earned highly importance and affirmation in power departments.
Ministry of electric power industry and Ministry of mechanical power industry issues <note of Popularization and application of GCS type LV draw-out type switchgear> in【1997】#1 document. Currently, GCS type LV draw-out type switchgear has been widely chosen and used by power users.
This device conforms to the relevant standard, such as IEC61439-2 <LV switching device and controlling device-part2: power supply switching device and controlling device>, GB7251.12< LV switching device and control device part2: Complete electric switching and controlling device>, GB/T24274-2009 <LV draw-out switchgear and controlling device>, etc.
Application
This device is suitable in distribution system of power plant, petroleum, chemical, metallurgy, spinning industries and other high-rise buildings. In highly automatic system of power plants and metallurgy systems, which needed to be interface with computer, this device is used as complete LV distribution device for power distribution, motor integrated control, reactive compensation using in the power generation system and distribution system of three phase AC50(60)Hz, rated working voltage 380V (400V), (690V), rated current 4000A or less than 4000A.
Service conditions
● Ambient temperature
Max: +40℃, Min: -5℃, Daily average temperature is not more than 35℃. Capacitance needs to be descended to operate if exceed the max temperature.
● Clean air
Relative humidity is not more than 50% when the max temperature is+40℃. When in lower temperature, higher relative humidity is allowed, such as 90%humidity when the temperature is +20℃, but the effect of condensation should be considered due to the change of temperature.
● Altitude
Gradient of slope is not more than 5 degree when installing, altitude is not more than 2000m.
● In the medium of no explosion risks, the medium has no gas and conductive dust that may corroding the metal and damage insulation.

Structure features
● The materials of main structure are C type steel. There are two module holes in two sides of the profiles steel which center distance are 20mm and 100mm, internal installation is flexible and easy.
● The chambers of switchgear are isolated to functional chamber, busbar chamber and cable chamber. Function of each chamber is relative independent.
● The structure form of feeder cabinet unit in drawer cabinet can be divided to three forms: drawer cabinet, fixed separation cabinet, drawer & fixed separation combination cabinet.
● Horizontal main bus are installed in the top of the switchgear, reserve the rear space for cable outgoing, easy for work on site.
● The design of cable compartment is easy for cable incoming and outgoing.

● Function unit
● The modulus of the drawer storey height is 160mm, divide to five series: half unit, one unit, one and a half units, two units, 3units. The rated current of unit circuit is 400A and below.
● The change of the drawers is only the height, width and depth are both not changed. Drawers of the same functional units have good interchangeabilty.
● Each drawer cabinet can be installed at most 11 sets drawers of one unit type or 22 sets drawers of half unit type.
● The drawer panel has clear marking for opening,closing,testing,withdraw positions.
● The drawer cabinet is equipped with mechanical interlock device, prevent inserting and unplugging drawers with load. Switch operation handle can be equipped with up to 3 padlock, prevent unauthorized operations.
● The switch operating handle and drawer pushing and positioning mechanisms are independently set, and mechanical interlock is installed between the these two parts to avoid the phenomenon of switch tripping position jamming caused by the shared operating handle.
