Structure
KYN28A switchgear is designed as per the standards of insulation matel-clad switchgear , conforms to IEC62271 and GB/T3906. The whole structure has two main parts, such as cabinet body and mid-mounted withdrawable unit (or handcart), as shown in diagram 1. It has bottom cable incoming & outgoing scheme、overhead incoming & outgoing scheme and other function scheme which can constitute many schemes about power distribution devices. The switchgear could install, adjust and maintain at the front., so it can be installed in double row back to back or face to face and also can installed by way.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What standards does the KYN28A switchgear comply with?
The KYN28A switchgear is designed and manufactured in strict compliance with international and national standards, including IEC62271-200, IEC62271-100, GB/T3906, GB/T11022, GB/T1984, and DL/T404.
What safety interlocking functions are built into the KYN28A switchgear?
It features a comprehensive interlocking system that prevents: pushing/pulling the circuit breaker handcart with load, accidental opening/closing of the circuit breaker, closing the circuit breaker when the earthing switch is closed, entering live compartments accidentally, and closing the earthing switch when the system is charged.
What types of handcarts can be used with KYN28A switchgear?
Depending on the application, it can be equipped with various mid-mounted handcarts, including circuit breaker handcarts, contactor handcarts, load switch handcarts, isolation handcarts, PT handcarts, metering handcarts, fuse handcarts, lower PT handcarts, and lower lightning arrester handcarts.
What are the environmental requirements for normal operation?
Normal operating conditions include an altitude of ≤1000m, ambient temperature ranging from -15℃ to +45℃, daily average relative humidity of ≤95% (monthly average ≤90%), suitability for condensation and Class II polluted environments, and a seismic intensity not exceeding Grade 8.
Can KYN28A switchgear be installed against a wall or back-to-back?
Yes. Since installation, adjustment, and maintenance are all performed from the front, the switchgear allows for flexible space-saving layouts, including double-row back-to-back, face-to-face, or along-the-wall installations.
When is forced air cooling required for the KYN28A switchgear?
For applications with a rated current of 4000A and above, forced air cooling must be implemented to ensure the safe and reliable operation of the switchgear.
