Type and meaning
Service conditions
a. Installation position:
MNS switchgear is a complete electrical equipment installed indoors. When the protection level reaches IP54, it can operate under other working conditions.
b. Ambient temperature and relative humidity:
The upper limit of ambient temperature is 40 ℃, and the average temperature within 24 hours shall not higher than 35 ℃; The lower limit of ambient temperature is -5 ℃. When the equipment is used under conditions higher than the above ambient temperature, it should be operated at reduced capacity.
The air is clean, and the relative humidity should not exceed 50% at 40 ℃. Higher relative humidity is allowed at lower temperatures (e.g. 90% at 20 ℃). In cases where condensation may occur, ventilation or heating measures can be used in the switchgear to prevent condensation.

c. Altitude:
The altitude of the location where the switchgear is used shall not exceed 2000m. If the switchgear is installed in an area above an altitude of 2000m, the equipment should be correspondingly reduced in capacity for operation.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
1. What are the key design advantages of MNS switchgear?
MNS switchgear features a standardized, modular design offering high structural flexibility. It allows the integration of various functional components (fixed and withdrawable) within the same cabinet, saves space, provides high installation density, and ensures operator safety.
2. Which standards does the MNS switchgear comply with?
The equipment complies with IEC61439-2 ("Low voltage switchgear and control equipment"), GBIT7251.12 ("Low Voltage Switchgear and Control Equipment"), and GBIT24274 ("Low voltage withdrawable switchgear and control equipment").
3. What are the environmental operating limits for MNS switchgear?
The ambient temperature should be between -5 ℃ and 40 ℃, with a 24-hour average not exceeding 35 ℃. The relative humidity should not exceed 50% at 40 ℃, though higher humidity is permitted at lower temperatures. Clean, indoor installation is required.
4. Can MNS switchgear run at high altitudes?
Yes, but the standard installation altitude is up to 2000m. If the switchgear is installed in areas exceeding 2000m, the operational capacity of the equipment must be reduced accordingly.
5. What protection levels (IP ratings) can the MNS cabinet support?
Depending on the specific working and environmental requirements, the switchgear can be designed to meet IP30, IP40, IP42, or IP54 protection levels.
6. What is the maximum rated current for the main busbar?
The rated current for the main busbar can reach up to 6300A, with a rated peak withstand current (lpk) of up to 220kA and a rated short-time withstand current (lcw) of up to 100kA.
