Rwandan Client Delegation and EPC Contractor Representatives Attend FAT at Tian’an

Recently, representatives of  Rwandan project owner and the Engineering Procurement Construction (EPC) contractor arrived at Tianan Electric to witness the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) for the Rwanda project. They were warmly welcomed by Chairman Mr. Jiang Shanwen and Business Manager Ms. Joanna.

Under Mr. Jiang’s guidance, the delegation toured the entire switchgear production line—from incoming raw-material processing to final assembly, observing each stringent quality checkpoint that ensures every unit meets contractual specifications before shipment.

During the tour, the delegation expressed particular interest in a trailer-mounted Mobile Substation scheduled for delivery to the Philippines. The Chief Technology Officer presented a technical briefing highlighting the platform’score advantages over conventional fixed substations: rapid deployment, on-demand relocation, and accelerated power-restoration capability. These features make the product an ideal solution for emergency or temporary supply in power-deficit regions and have established it as one of Tian’an’s best-selling offerings.

Subsequently, the team witnessed the complete pre-delivery test sequence for the project-specific transformers. Over few days, they demonstrated insulation power-factor, lightning-impulse, temperature-rise and partial-discharge tests in strict accordance with IEC 60076 and the client’s bespoke specification. In response to customized requirements raised by the client—tailored to Rwanda’s unique operating conditions—Tian’an’s engineering and test teams documented each item and formulated on-the-spot corrective actions.

After the one-week FAT acceptance, a formal acceptance meeting brought together owner, EPC contractor and Tian’an executives in Tian’an’s conference centre. As this marks the first collaboration among the three parties, delegates exchanged candid views on communication mechanism, cooperation models and other issues, and put forward constructive suggestions based on the completed acceptance tests. The owner, the EPC contractor and Tian’an reached a strategic consensus for further in-deep cooperation.

The successful FAT has cemented mutual confidence, establishing a robust platform for enduring partnership. Within days of the delegation’s departure, Tian’an received additional purchase orders for electrical equipment, signifying the tangible advancement of the cooperation.
