Rail Transit Industry Solutions

2025-03-18

With the rapid development of China's railway network and the successful implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative, China's high-speed rail has emerged as a shining diplomatic card for the country. In China, the swift growth of urban social economies has made rail transit one of the hottest topics in recent years. Major cities are vigorously developing rail transit systems, striving to make convenient travel accessible to the public.

The high speed, large scale, and extensive development of modern vehicles are leading industry trends. The power supply and distribution systems for airports, subway stations, and highway service areas are similar to those in the construction industry. In contrast, the power system for ports is divided into site power systems and shore power systems. Given the large area and diverse, dispersed power loads, port power systems have their own unique characteristics.

The power supply required for railway electrification is provided entirely by traction substations, which consist of primary and secondary equipment. Specifically:
Primary equipment refers to the main devices that supply power to the rail grid through transformer switches and carry the actual current.
Secondary equipment includes microcomputer or computer-based monitoring systems installed on these main devices to ensure the safe and effective operation of the railway electrical system.

The traction system uses a 27.5 kV line voltage supply and a DC drive mode, which gives it particular characteristics.
